  4. Prepare the Broccoli: In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until vibrant green, then plunge them into an ice bath.
  5. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the bacon, cooked chicken (sliced), broccoli, chopped shallot, and ranch dressing until everything is well coated.
  6. Chill for best results in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
