Cowboy Butter Cheeseburger Skillet

A flavorful twist on the classic cheeseburger, this Cowboy Butter Cheeseburger Skillet is easy to make and packed with deliciousness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
  • 2 medium Yukon Gold or russet potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup Cowboy Butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil, then toss in the chopped onion.
  2. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
  3. Add the diced potatoes to the skillet, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir frequently for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef to the empty space. Break it up with a spatula and let it cook for about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Mix everything together and pour in that glorious cowboy butter. Stir it in and let everything meld together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ensuring that it evenly coats the mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid.
  8. Once it’s done, give everything a good stir again before serving.

Notes

For a Southwestern twist, add black beans and corn. You can also substitute half the meat with chopped veggies for a healthier option.
