Creamy Cucumber Salad

A delightful dish that perfectly balances crunch and creaminess, ideal for barbecues or light lunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Cucumbers: Wash the cucumbers thoroughly. Slice into quarter-inch rounds or long stripes. Optionally sprinkle with salt and let sit to reduce moisture.
  2. Make the Dressing: Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and white vinegar in a mixing bowl and stir until smooth.
  3. Add the Herbs: Toss in chopped dill and parsley into the dressing and mix well.
  4. Season the Mixture: Add salt and pepper to taste and adjust as needed.
  5. Combine with Cucumbers: Gently fold cucumber slices into the creamy dressing, keeping the crunch intact.
  6. Chill and Serve: Cover and let the salad chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a stunning presentation, garnish with extra dill and parsley, or sprinkle sesame seeds or crushed nuts on top.
