Loaded Tater Tot Waffles

A playful twist on classic tater tots turned into crispy waffles, loaded with cheese and bacon for a delightful treat.

  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • 4 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing
  • Optional spices: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to paper towels.
  3. Prepare the tater tots in a bowl, optionally tossing with spices.
  4. Mash the cooked tater tots in the bowl to combine whole and crumbled pieces.
  5. Mix in the chopped bacon and shredded cheddar until well combined.
  6. Lightly grease the waffle iron, spoon in the mixture, and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Continue until all waffles are made. Serve hot!
