Crunchy Refrigerator Pickles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumbers well and slice them into your preferred shape.
  2. Combine the water, white vinegar, salt, and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and dill weed after removing the brine from heat.
  4. Pack the cucumber slices tightly into clean glass jars, adding black peppercorns as desired.
  5. Pour the cooled brine over the packed cucumbers to ensure they are fully submerged.
  6. Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
  7. Allow the pickles to sit in the fridge for up to a week for the best flavor.
