Crockpot Orange Chicken

A flavorful and nostalgic dish that combines juicy chicken thighs with a sweet and tangy orange sauce, slow-cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot, ensuring they’re not stacked on top of each other.
  2. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine the orange marmalade, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken thighs, ensuring every piece is coated.
  4. Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken about 30 minutes before serving and stir it back into the sauce.

Notes

Serve over rice or quinoa, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds. For added flavor, serve with tangy orange slices.
