Ultimate Crockpot Parmesan Chicken

A comforting dish made in the slow cooker, featuring tender chicken smothered in marinara sauce and melted cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Italian seasoning, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat your chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken at the bottom of your crockpot.
  3. Top with minced garlic and marinara sauce, ensuring the chicken is covered.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken, then add mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the cheese layer.
  6. Cover the crockpot with a lid.
  7. Set your crockpot to low and cook for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Shred the chicken in the pot using two forks and stir to combine.

Notes

For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce. Feel free to serve with pasta, roasted veggies, or in a sandwich.
