Crockpot Rotisserie-Style Chicken

A flavorful and easy recipe for rotisserie-style chicken made in a crockpot, perfect for a comforting meal.

  • 34 lb whole chicken
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse your chicken under cold water, then pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub half of this seasoning blend on the chicken skin and inside the cavity.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot breast-side up, optionally adding veggies around it.
  5. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  6. Remove the chicken from the crockpot and broil it in the oven for 5-10 minutes for crispy skin.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the seasoned chicken sit in the fridge for an hour or overnight. Use leftover chicken in tacos or salads.
