  • 1 lb Korean-style beef (flank steak or ribeye)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Marinade: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and grated ginger.
  2. Cook the Tater Tots: Follow the instructions on the bag of tater tots and bake or fry until golden and crispy.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high and sear the marinated beef for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Toss the Remaining Marinade: Add any remaining marinade to the skillet and let it bubble until it thickens.
  5. Assemble Your Bowls: Layer tater tots, slice the beef thinly, drizzle the sauce, and top with green onions.

Notes

For a zesty kick, squeeze lime juice before serving. You can also add sesame seeds or chili flakes.
