Maple Sausage Flatbread

A delightful blend of savory sausage, fresh greens, and sweet maple syrup on a crunchy flatbread base.

Ingredients

  • Flatbread (store-bought or homemade)
  • Spicy Italian sausage (or preferred type)
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Fresh greens (arugula or spinach)
  • Mozzarella or goat cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook your sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Prepare the flatbread on a baking tray and brush with olive oil for extra crunch.
  4. Top the flatbread with cooked sausage, fresh greens, and maple syrup.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top during the last two minutes of baking, if desired.
  7. Slice the flatbread and serve on a platter.

Notes
