McGriddle Bites

Bite-sized pancake treats with crumbled sausage and maple syrup for a perfect breakfast experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, milk, and egg until well combined.
  2. Add in the goodies: Fold in the crumbled sausage and maple syrup, mixing until just combined.
  3. Heat the pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Cook the bites: Using a tablespoon, drop small portions of the batter onto the hot skillet. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Add cheese (if using) by sprinkling it on top of the cooked side just before flipping.
  6. Stack and serve: Once both sides are golden, remove them from the skillet and keep warm.

Notes

These bites can be served with extra maple syrup, whipped cream, or powdered sugar. They can also be paired with crispy bacon or sliced avocado.
