Hot Dog Fried Rice

A fun twist on the classic fried rice, incorporating hot dogs for a nostalgic and flavorful dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked rice (day-old preferred)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Hot dogs (any variety, chopped)
  • Vegetables (peas, carrots, green onions)
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, sriracha, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by chopping hot dogs and dicing veggies.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the eggs, scrambling until just set, then set aside.
  4. Sauté the chopped hot dogs until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in the veggies and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked rice and combine with hot dogs and veggies.
  7. Season with soy sauce, mixing everything together.
  8. Mix in the scrambled eggs until well combined.
  9. Garnish with optional toppings before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try grilling the hot dogs first or adding a pinch of sesame oil.
