Crockpot Bourbon Chicken

An irresistible slow-cooked dish with tender chicken thighs in a sweet and savory bourbon sauce, perfect for busy days.

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced

Instructions

  1. Rinse your chicken thighs under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Combine the apple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, minced garlic, and ginger in a medium bowl.
  3. Place the chicken thighs into the crockpot in a single layer.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring that all the pieces are well-coated.
  5. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for about 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Shred the chicken using two forks once cooking time is up and mix it back with the sauce.
