Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings

A hearty and comforting Crockpot Chicken & Dumplings recipe that’s perfect for chilly evenings. This dish combines juicy chicken, fresh vegetables, and fluffy dumplings for a warm hug in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Dice the carrots, celery, and onion into small pieces and sprinkle them over the chicken.
  4. Add the can of cream of chicken soup right on top.
  5. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for about 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. When the chicken is tender, cut each biscuit into quarters and add them to the slow cooker.
  7. Cook the dumplings on high for about 30 minutes.
  8. Ladle the chicken, veggies, and dumplings into bowls and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or a pinch of cayenne pepper. You can also substitute frozen vegetables for fresh and prepare all ingredients in advance.
