  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, divided
  • 4 cups tater tots
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sauté the chopped onion for another 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Combine the browned beef mixture, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, milk, and eggs in a mixing bowl and stir until well-mixed.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch pie dish, spreading evenly.
  6. Top with the tater tots in a single layer.
  7. Final sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes
